What You’ll Do
As a Senior PR Manager, you'll take ownership of client relationships and lead strategic communications programs that build visibility, credibility, and momentum. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and be supported by community managers, social media specialists, and content creators.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead PR strategy and execution for multiple clients across sectors such as B2B SaaS, ESG, emerging tech, and platforms.
- Develop and pitch compelling storylines, press releases, op-eds, and thought leadership that align with client objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, influencers, and industry bloggers.
- Proactively identify media opportunities, monitor breaking news, and position clients within relevant industry narratives.
- Use creative tactics to secure non-traditional media placements: Reddit AMAs, newsletter features, brand collaborations, and more.
- Extend PR efforts across digital platforms and communities: Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, LinkedIn, and niche forums.
- Manage media lists, track outreach, and provide comprehensive reporting that shows impact, reach, and ROI.
- Participate in weekly calls and manage day-to-day execution with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Collaborate with internal teams using tools like Asana, Slack, G Suite, and Dropbox to ensure streamlined project management.
What We’re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of public relations or strategic communications experience; agency experience is a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of and experience with B2B SaaS, ESG, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with a sense of humor and editorial instinct.
- Proven success placing clients in top-tier and niche media outlets (business, trade, podcasts, blogs, etc.).
- Familiarity with Muck Rack or comparable media outreach tools.
- Comfortable navigating fast-moving news cycles and spotting media opportunities.
- Proficient with tools like Asana, Slack, Zoom, G Suite, and Dropbox.
- Ability to explain how PR metrics tie into business growth and client KPIs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills—can juggle multiple accounts with grace.

About the Client: The Hidden Jams
The Hidden Jams is The Cheat Sheet for Music Discovery. As a 501c3 non-profit, it leverages the wisdom of the fanbases to sort artist catalogs, rank order the best songs, identify the deep cuts and surface the hidden gems.
We are preparing to launch our brand and need a music-savvy social media professional who can build and execute a strategy that sparks excitement, fosters conversation, and fuels organic growth across channels.
Role Overview
The Social Media Consultant will design and execute a high-impact social media strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and growth for The Hidden Jams. This role requires both big-picture strategy and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on creative storytelling, fan-driven campaigns, and real-time engagement.
We already have some great connections with artists and artist managers which will help you propel our social media and awareness.
In addition to building The Hidden Jams’ presence across platforms, the consultant will provide mentorship and direction to social media interns, ensuring they develop skills while supporting campaign execution.
Objectives

- Drive high-impact engagement on social media whether content comes from The Hidden Jams, influencers, artists, or fans.
- Encourage clickthroughs and interaction with the Hidden Jams website and app.
- Attract artists to join and participate.

- Provide influencers and super fans with content they can easily amplify or repurpose.

- Deliver monthly analytics reporting with insights and strategy adjustments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience building and executing social media campaigns in music, entertainment, or fandom-driven spaces.
- Strong understanding of fan communities, music culture, and digital trends.
- Creative content ideation skills with examples of viral or high-engagement campaigns.
- Proficiency with analytics and social listening tools.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members/interns.
- Ability to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.
